Sony Pictures' Angels & Demons Lured by Lenticular
THEATER POSTERS, LOBBY DISPLAYS, STORE P-O-P ALL IN STUNNING 3D
A blockbuster film franchise steeped in secrets and ancient intrigue comes to life in a dramatic poster and lobby
display promotion by Big3D.com the world leader in 3D lenticular printing.
Two different 3D posters were produced to promote the Ron Howard-directed film. Over 600 backlit 27"x40" 3D posters
and over 500 48"x72" animated 3D lobby displays were distributed to theaters across the country.
The large lobby display is a 3D image of a stone gargoyle, half angel, half demon, glaring menacingly against a dark
gloomy sky, seemingly reaching out to passersby. The theater poster is 3D and animated-as you move past the poster,
the image of the gargoyle changes from good to evil, highlighting the plot of the film.

Lenticular Theater Lobby for Luxor
THE MAGIC OF LENTICULAR A GOOD MATCH FOR CRISS ANGEL
When a famed Las Vegas theater needs to add enough "wow factor" to compliment superstar
illusionist/magician Criss Angel, naturally Big3D gets the call.
The Cirque du Soleil theater lobby at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas was reworked this year by
famed architecture firm Hamilton Anderson Associates who named Big3D as the lenticular provider
of record on the project. A component of the re-design was a 75-foot wide back-lit lenticular mural.
The art featured imagery of an expanse of red velvet curtain through which, via the magic of lenticular,
iconic white rabbits and Criss Angel would periodically peek through, then retreat back behind the curtain.
Additionally, five large back-lit lenticular panels lined the hallway leading into the theater itself,
each a 3-flip effect featuring more eerie rabbit imagery.
The mural installation was complex, made up of 50 different lenticular panels of varying heights. Since
the custom light boxes were being constructed on-site, constant fine-tuning of panel sizes was required
throughout the lenticular production process. Only four days was required to produce the complex job.
Installation went smoothly and the end result is truly unique and stunning.

VISUALLY HIGHLIGHT YOUR PRODUCT BENEFIT WITH LENTICULAR |
Showcasing a product benefit can be difficult. Wouldn't it be nice if your POP display and packaging could show with a simple picture something that takes a paragraph to describe? That's the challenge the makers of a back and lumbar-support product presented Big3D: Show how our product works without using any copy.
This project employed a 2-flip lenticular display header card demonstrating the features and benefits of the product. A second component was a die-cut packaging insert that duplicated the graphics on the header. A 24"x36" curved, backlit 2-flip lenticular panel was also produced for use at medical, HBC and chiropractic trade shows. A great example of how to extend the dramatic impact of lenticular across different media.

First Speed Racer Movie Poster Goes 3D
WARNER BROS. ENTRUSTS BIG3D.COM TO PRODUCE 3D POSTER |
|
Publicity for one of the most anticipated film releases of 2008 was jump-started as a 3D lenticular poster for the Warner Bros. movie "Speed Racer" appeared in theaters.
Warner Bros. entrusted lenticular printing specialists Big3D.com to produce the innovative 3D poster. The 3D poster features a close-up view of the much-loved character's iconic helmet with Speed Racer's car poised in the background. As a result of the special lenticular printing process, the helmet appears to be popping out toward the viewer of the poster, with the other design elements also occupying 3D space. The poster is intended as a teaser and announces the film's 2008 release date.
The show-stopping power of the lenticular 3D Speed Racer poster became immediately apparent when only minutes after
the poster appeared in theaters the internet was buzzing with the news. Film blogs raced to be the first to show
photos of the poster. Bloggers engaged in a game of one-upmanship as they did their best to describe the amazing 3D
depth achieved by Big3D.
