Big3D Captures National ADDY® Award for Film Poster
(Fresno, California, USA) The 2007 National ADDY® Awards winners were announced this week, and Big3D was awarded a National
Silver ADDY® Award in the hotly contested Poster category.
Promoting the M. Knight Shyamalan film Lady in the Water (released by Warner Bros Pictures), the lenticular poster
wowed judges with its unique and subtle imagery of a woman's face eerily emerging through murky blue waters. No text was
employed in the design, a testament to the power of lenticular graphics to convey not only the film's name but its
suspenseful content as well.
"We are delighted to be recognized nationally by the American Advertising Federation," said Tom Saville, Big3D's founder and
president. "This ADDY award acknowledges the outstanding talent of our employees as well as the exceptional creative
relationship we share with our client, Drissi Advertising, and with Warner Bros. Pictures."
Additionally, lenticular projects by Big3D were local and regional winners in three other categories: Consumer/Trade Insert
(client: Sony); Magazine/Book Cover (client: St. Louis Cardinals Baseball); Consumer/Trade Spread (Client: Big3D).
With more than 60,000 nationwide entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world's largest advertising competition. The
American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association, conducts the ADDY Awards through its 200 member
advertising clubs and 15 districts. Entrants compete at the local level, and then ADDY Award winners advance to the regional
level before continuing on to the national level.
